A few Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) and Members of Parliament (MPs) of the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) and MLAs of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) are in touch with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP.)

Sujana Chowdary, a BJP MP, on the 22nd of November, said many YSRCP MLAs and MPs and TDP MLAs are in talks with the BJP.

Sujana Chowdary said, “Not nine MLAs but 20 MLAs are in talks with us (BJP.)”

Sujana addressed the media and said, “Those legislatures and parliamentarians are in no rush to BJP and in fact, they want to take their own sweet time. When the appropriate time comes, they will shift the party and might also take call on their constitutional positions.”

However, Sujana Chowdary did not give out information about who the YSRCP and TDP members are, stating it is not the right time to reveal their names.

Speaking about the strategy of the BJP, Mr. Chowdary said the Party is eyeing Andhra Pradesh and wants to form the next State Government by winning the 2023 elections.

When asked about JanaSena Party President Pawan Kalyan’s recent visit to Delhi, Mr. Sujana said, “I’m not in touch with him and no knowledge with whom he is talking to in Delhi (sic.)”

If the BJP member’s statement about the MLAs and MPs planning to switch parties is true, both the YSRCP and the TDP would face a major drawback.

However, an official announcement regarding the MLAs and MPs joining the BJP is yet to be made.

Stay tuned for further updates.
