Sri Padmavathi Medical College for Women, would from now onward is going to handle the positive cases of the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19, in the Rayalaseema region of Andhra Pradesh (A.P.)

To ensure enhanced medical facilities in the region, the officials and the State Government, decided to designate the College for the treatment. One hundred and fifty isolation wards and 100 ventilators were arranged at the hospital for the treatment in the Rayalaseema region of A.P.

Dr. N. Bharat Gupta the District Collector, C. Bhaskar Reddy the Chairman of the Tirupati Urban Development Authority (TUDA,) Dr. B. Vengamma the Director of Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences (SVIMS) and other officials would visit the hospital to review the arrangements.

This visit is scheduled on the 28th of March.  The decision to set up the arrangements was taken after Andhra Pradesh reported the 13th COVID-19 case today.
