After Telangana, the Southwest monsoon enters Rayalaseema region of Andhra Pradesh, spreading slowly across the Telugu State of Andhra Pradesh.

As per the Indian Meteorological Department, the southwest monsoon entered the State on the 14th of June, bringing moderate to heavy rainfall in the coastal region of Andhra Pradesh.  In the next 3 to 4 days, the monsoon would extend to a few more parts of Rayalaseema and then to coastal Andhra in one week.

Meanwhile, the State Weather Department forecasted moderate to heavy rains in many parts of Rayalaseema districts in districts like Chittoor, Anantapur and others.  Furthermore, 41 mm of rainfall was recorded in Vatsavai in NTR district on the 14th of June, evening.  In addition, Dwarakathirumala mandal in Eluru recorded 34 mm of rainfall, 22.5 mm in Gadirai of Madugula mandal of Anakapalli district 21mm in Jaggaiahpet of NTR district and 13.5 mm in Nawabpet of Penuganchiprolu was also recorded.

On the other hand, the southwest monsoon also entered the neighboring state of Andhra Pradesh, yesterday.   Besides Andhra Pradesh, the Telugu State of Telangana also witnessed the beginning of the monsoon on the 14th of June.
