Ms. Draupadi Murmu, the President of India, visited the Sapthagiri Go Pradakshina Mandiram located at Alipiri, foot of the hills in Andhra Pradesh, on the 5th of December.
It is to be noted, Ms. Draupadi Murmu is in Andhra Pradesh, for a two day visit. She arrived in the Telugu State on the 4th of December, Sunday and is scheduled to return to Delhi by the evening of the 5th of December.
The main purpose of Ms. Draupadi Murmu was to attend the Navy Day Celebrations scheduled in Visakhapatnam’s RK Beach, on the 4th of December.
After concluding the Navy Day celebrations, Ms. Draupadi Murmu, on her return journey from Tirumala on Monday, visited the Sapthagiri Go Pradakshina Mandiram and offered prayers. Earlier, on her arrival in Andhra Pradesh, Ms. Murmu was offered the Purnakumbha Swagatham, by the Vedic Pundits and was received by Mr. Y.V. Subba Reddy, the Tirumala Tirupati (TTD) Chairman, the Executive Officer A.V. Dharma Reddy, the Executive Officer (EO) and other officials of the TTD.
During the darshan of Sri Venugopala Swamy, Ms. Draupadi Murmu performed GO Pradakshina and offered fodder and new vastrams to the Desi bovines in the Mandiram. After offering prayer, Ms. Draupadi Murmu donated Rs. 6,000, which was worth for a cow weighing around 435 kilos (for her protection) in Go Tulabharam. The system of Go Tulabharam was was introduced by Go Mandiram to promote the protection and preservation of Indian cows.
Furthermore, the event of Ms. Draupadi Murmu, visiting the temple was attended by the Union Minister of Telugu State Mr. G. Kishen Reddy, Deputy CMs of Andhra Pradesh Mr. P. Narayana Swamy, Mr. Satyanarayana, AP Minister Ms. Roja, Tirupati district Collector Mr. Venkatramana Reddy, the TTD Chief Engineer Mr. Nageswara Rao, Gosala Director Dr. Harnath Reddy and others were present.
