Mr. Perni Nani, the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) Minister, slammed Mr. N. Chandrababu Naidu, the President of Telugu Desam Party (TDP.)

On the 8th of November, Mr. Perni Nani criticised the TDP for giving a protest call on the 9th of November, Tuesday.  It is to be noted, the TDP National President Mr. Nara Chandrababu Naidu called for a protest across the State regarding the rise in fuel prices.  The TDP also demanded the Y.S. Jagah Mohan Reddy government to reduce petrol and diesel prices by reducing VAT, after the Central Government lowered the rates.

Taking a dig at the so called protest, Mr. Perni Nani said, the TDP is creating a ruckus on the rise of fuel prices, when during the TDP regime, the prices were increasing.   He said, when the TDP was ruling, the fuel prices were rising, but now they are protesting for the same reason.

Mr. Perni Nani said, “While one party (BJP) is the responsible for the abnormal increase in fuel prices, the other party (TDP) is making noise forgetting the fact that it was the one that had increased VAT on fuel during its regime.”  He further said, “BJP leaders in the State are hitting the streets demanding the State to slash VAT.  If they don’t want the people to be burdened, they should stage protests in Delhi demanding the Centre to slash the prices further by Rs. 20-25.”

Mr. Perni Nani concluded and said the TDP is showing double standards and speaking as per convenience to defame the YSRCP.
