Guntur: Pensioners on warpath demanding their long pending issues. AP Pensioners associations on Monday staged a protest at collector offices against the state government. Pensioners alleged that the state government is ignoring their request to restore the additional quantum deducted from 11 th PRC in January 2022.

MLC KS Lakshmana Rao led the protests at Guntur and said that pensioners are facing a tough time in the state. He condemned the delay in payment of pensions every month. Lakshmana Rao added that many pensioners are failing to meet medical and other expenses with delayed pension payments. 

Another leader Prabhu Das said that pensioners were not getting due respect for their services. Pensioners demanded the government to restore 10% pension after attaining 70 years of age and 15% after 75 years of age. They submitted district collectors to all 25 districts seeking immediate redressal of long pending issues.
