Pawan Kalyan, the President of the JanaSena Party, on the 20th of November, initiated a new programme, ‘Mana Nudi, Mana Nadi’ (‘Our Language, Our Rivers.’)

Kalyan started the initiative against the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) to protect Andhra Pradesh’s native language and rivers.

Pawan Kalyan said, “If we do not protect the mother tongue that is vital to our future, we will lose the culture (sic.)”  He further said, “Rivers are the major cause for civilization. There is no culture without the river.”

Pawan Kalyan took to Twitter and posted a series of tweets regarding the initiative.

In one of his tweets, he posted a video of a foreign national speaking Telugu.  The caption of the post read, “We ignore Telugu but, look at him how he speaks Telugu (sic.)”

The programme was launched after the YSRCP Government, on the 20th of November, issued a Government Order (GO) stating English would be made the medium of instruction in government schools.

Details about the Mana Nudi, Mana Nadi initiative are yet to be disclosed.
