Mr. Pawan Kalyan, the President of the JanaSena Party, on the 8th of November, Tuesday, announced financial assistance for the families, whose houses were demolished in Ippatam village.

According to sources, Mr. Pawan Kalyan announced Rs. 1 lakh to each of the families who have lost their houses in the Ippatam village demolition project undertaken for road widening purposes.

It is to be noted, on the 4th of November, the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) led town planning Department of Guntur district, carried out the demolition drive.  The programme created a tense situation in the region, as parts of the houses of the villagers were demolished.  The villagers said that the village is too small with no public transport facility and so why does a small village even need a 120 feet road?  However, the town planning department dismissed their opposition and demolished 53 encroached buildings in Ippatam village.

Reacting to this, Mr. Pawan Kalyan not only condemned the demolition and blamed the YSRCP Government and Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, but toured the village.  On the 5th of November, Mr. Pawan Kalyan visited Ippatam village in the Guntur district and interacted with those who lost their houses due to the demolition drive.

Furthermore, to help those affected due to the demolition, Mr. Nadendla Manohar, the Chairman of the Political Affairs Committee of the JanaSena Party, said, “ (Mr.) Pawan will give one lakh rupees to them on behalf of the party as the houses were damaged.”  In addition, Mr. Nadendla Manohar said, the JanaSena Party would also provide the necessary assistance to reconstruct the damaged houses in the village.
