Mr. S. Jaishankar, the Union Minister of External Affairs, welcomed his Pakistani counterpart Mr. Bilawal Bhutto Zardari in Goa.

Notably, ministers from across the world arrived at Goa, India to attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) conclave.  The Pakistan foreign minister was received at the airport in Goa earlier today, the 5th of May, by Mr. J.P. Singh, the joint secretary heading the Pakistan Afghanistan Iran division at the external affairs ministry.

In a viral visuals, Mr. S. Jaishankar showed the foreign ministers’ customary greeting with folded hands before the two posed for pictures and directed Mr. Bilawal Bhutto Zardari to the venue.

Bilawal Bhutto has become the first senior leader from the neighboring country Pakistan to visit India in almost 12 years.  However, there’s no confirmation yet of a bilateral between India and Pakistan’s Foreign Ministers, confirmed sources.
