The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) staged a protest against the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) during the AP Assembly Budget Session 2022-2023.

According to sources, the TDP General Secretary Mr. Nara Lokesh along with the TDP leaders staged a protest for the sixth day in a row, against the illicit liquor manufacturing in Andhra Pradesh.  The N. Chandrababu Naidu led TDP leaders said that, due to the illicit liquor, hundreds of people are dying in the State.  Blaming the Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy led YSRCP Government for the same, Mr. Nara Lokesh said, “Deaths of Kodikatti Fek and Sarah were real.”  They raised slogans and placards against the Andhra Pradesh Government ruled by the YSRCP.

The TDP leaders shouted slogans, “Baba’s heart attack is fake and adulterated alcohol is true.”  They also claimed that the YSRCP’s approved J brand  alcohol is killing the consumers in Andhra Pradesh.  They also blamed the YSRCP Government for the State being a hub of drugs and narcotics, as marijuana and narcotics drugs were flooding the State.

Furthermore, the TDP leaders demanded a compensation of Rs. 25 lakhs to the families of the victims.

Notably, since the past few days, the TDP leaders and Nara Lokesh are demanding a ban on J brand liquor, which is selling adulterated liquor in the State, resulting in deaths.

Meanwhile, amid the protest, the TDP legislators were suspended from the Legislative Assembly for a day as they tried to stall the proceedings of the House demanding a debate on liquor deaths.

Notably, the Andhra Pradesh Assembly Budget Session 2022-2023 started from the 7th of March and would conclude on the 25th of March.
