On the 18th of January, Mr. Nandamuri Balakrishna paid tribute to the late NTR on his 26th death anniversary.

Mr. Nandamuri Balakrishna, actor turned politician and the Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) of Hundupur constituency, paid tribute to his father, former Chief Minister of erstwhile Andhra Pradesh late NTR.

Mr. Balakrishna was accompanied by Suhasini and other Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leaders visited NTR’s Ghat and paid floral tribute to NTR.  Speaking to the media, Mr. Balakrishna said that NTR created history in both the film industry and politics.  He raised slogans of NTR and added that he played many roles in the movies and defeated the Congress party soon after forming the TDP party.  He added that he worked hard for the development of Telugu people. 

Highlighting the role of NTR in the Andhra Pradesh politics, Ms. Parvathi said, NTR is a great leader and every leader in the State is continuing their journey in politics with the blessings of  NTR. 

Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao, the former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh (when Telangana and Andhra Pradesh were one state,) passed away on the 18th of January 1996.
