N. Chandrababu Naidu, the Chief Minister (CM) of Andhra Pradesh (AP,) addressed media and claimed, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and its President, Amit Shah, are the most corrupt in India.

Mr. Naidu addressed the Asian News International (ANI,) on the 4th of February, and said, “The BJP is blaming others for corruption. However, the party and its president Amit Shah are most corrupt in India. It’s under their rule that leaders like Nirav Modi and Mehul Choksi escaped after looting the banks of our Country. They are even responsible for the Rafale (deal.)”

He also blamed the ruling party for all the corruption cases and said, being the ruling party in India, the BJP cannot blame any other party for any mistakes. The Party should be responsible for eliminating corruption in the Country. He also mentioned about the war between the opposition parties and the BJP and said, the Left parties are not against the BJP and PM Modi, but their behaviour and policies towards the Nation.

Speaking about the current scenario of the Indian economy under the BJP Government, Chandrababu Naidu stated, “The economy has collapsed, independent institutions are being misused and the Country is under threat.”

Mr. Naidu, the leader of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP,) also spoke about the pending cases against the BJP members and the new cases against the opposition parties. He said, the cases registered against the BJP members are neglected, whereas new cases are registered against all the opposition parties. “Recently, cases have been registered against (Samajwadi Party leader) Akhilesh (Yadav) and (BSP [Bahujan Samaj Party] chief) Mayawati, and now revengeful action taken against (TMC [ Trinamool Congress] supremo) Mamata Banerjee. Centre State relations are deteriorating.. The BJP takes joy in opening new cases against all opposition leaders.”

Mr. Naidu also spoke about the action plan of the TDP for the upcoming Andhra Pradesh elections. He said, the TDP is drafting an action plan and is likely to coordinate with the opposition parties nationwide.

The Andhra Pradesh elections are scheduled between April and May 2019, along with the Lok Sabha elections. The State will contest 175 Assembly seats and 25 Lok Sabha seats. The major parties contesting in Andhra Pradesh are the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP,) the TDP and the JanaSena Party.
