The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) led Central Government extended a special invitation to Megastar Chiranjeevi.  

The special invitation was to invite Mr. Chiranjeevi for an event, organised as a part of the Azaadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, a celebration to mark the 75 years of Independent India.  According to sources, the Government of India would commemorate freedom fighter Alluri Sita Ramaraju’s 125th birthday, on the 4th of July.

Mr. Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister of India, would unveil Fighter Alluri’s statue in Bhimavaram, Andhra Pradesh.  On this occasion, Mr. G. Kishan Reddy, the Union Minister of Culture and Tourism, sent an invitation to Mr. Chiranjeevi, asking him to attend the event as a special guest.  After the event, Mr. Chiranjeevi is also likely to meet Mr. Narendra Modi.
