Mr. Margani Bharat Ram, a leader of the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) clarified about contesting the 2o24 Assembly elections in Andhra Pradesh.

Mr. Margani Bharat Ram, the YSRCP Member of Parliament (MP) from Rajahmundry constituency, who won in the previous election as MP, is hoping to contest as the Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLA.)  In an interview with the media, Mr. Margini Bharat Ram said he would like to contest from Rajahmundry seat as a MLA in the upcoming 2024 elections on the YSRCP ticket.  He also expressed confidence that if he contested from Rajahmundry Rural, he would win the MLA seat for the YSRCP.

However, the final decision regarding the same would be taken by Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh and the National President of the YSRCP.

Notably, in the 2019 Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections, the Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy led YSRCP lost the MLA seat against the Telugu Desam Party (TDP.)
