Konidela Nagababu, a popular Tollywood actor and the brother of Pawan Kalyan, the President of the JanaSena, on the 20th of March, joined the JanaSena Party, ahead of the Andhra Pradesh Lok Sabha elections.

Nagababu will contest the Lok Sabha elections in Andhra Pradesh as a Member of Parliament (MP) candidate in the Narasapuram constituency.

The decision came after a meeting between Nagababu and Pawan Kalyan. Immediately after the meeting, the latter decided to nominate Nagababu as a candidate.

However, an official announcement regarding the same is expected to be made soon.

Both the brothers, Pawan Kalyan and Nagababu, will contest the Andhra Pradesh Assembly and Lok Sabha elections respectively.

Andhra Pradesh will contest a total of 175 Assembly seats and 25 Lok Sabha seats, scheduled to be held on the 11th of April.

The major parties contesting the Andhra Pradesh Assembly and Lok Sabha elections are the JanaSena Party, the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP.)

The results of the Lok Sabha and Assembly elections will be announced on the 23rd of May 2019.
