K.T. Rama Rao, the Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister and the Information Technology, Electronics and Communications Minister, on the 26th of September, conducted a meeting with representatives of Ramagundam Fertilizers and Chemicals Limited (RFCL.)

During the meeting, Mr. Rao said the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Government decided to reopen the Ramagundam Fertilizers and Chemicals factory.

TRS ministers like K. Eshwar, K. Chander and B. Venkatesh Netikani were present at the meeting.

KTR said the Telangana Government is in favour of reopening the RFCL factory, which is why the State Government bought shares in the Company.  He also added the Company should provide jobs to local youths. He also asked RCFL to test the unskilled candidates through the Employment Exchange and provide jobs to youths.

All the new recruitees will be trained in Telangana at the Telangana Academy for Skill and Knowledge (TASK) and the expenses will be borne by the TRS Government.

The meeting was fruitful as the representatives of the Company agreed to the proposal of the TRS Government.  KTR also said he would write to the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, with an urge to reopen the Kendriya Vidyalaya on the RFCL premises.

However, an official announcement regarding the reopening of the RFCL factory is yet to be made.
