Scientists from the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) participated in a prayer ceremony at Tirupati’s Venkateswara Swamy temple on Thursday, seeking divine blessings for the upcoming Chandrayaan-3 mission.

With a miniature model of Chandrayaan-3 in hand, the ISRO team performed a puja, expressing their hopes for the success of the mission. The launch is scheduled for Friday at 2:35 p.m. from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota.

Seeking divine intervention before significant missions has become a customary practice for ISRO scientists, who offer prayers at Tirupati temple for favorable outcomes.

Chandrayaan-3’s primary objective is to achieve a soft landing on the lunar surface and conduct explorations using a rover. A successful landing will establish India as the fourth country, following the US, Russia, and China, to accomplish this remarkable feat.
