On the 31st of May, the Andhra Pradesh (A.P.,) Chief Secretary Adityanath Das issued appointment orders of the new Managing Director of the AP State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC.)  

The Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) Government appointed Dwaraka Tirumala Rao, an Indian Police Service (IPS) officer as the new APSRTC MD. Dwaraka Tirumala Rao is a cadre of 1989 IPS batch and was the Director General of A.P., Railways. The appointment of Mr. Tirumala Rao came after superannuation retirement of R.P. Thakur, the current APSRTC MD.

In addition, the Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy led Government also appointed N. Sanjay, the Additional Director General (DG) of the APSRTC Training Department to be the new MD of the Andhra Pradesh Police Housing Company. He is also given full additional charge of Additional Director General of Police, Personnel and Training at the Director General of Police (DGP’s) office in Mangalagiri until further orders.

The two new appointments were done as per the direction of Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of A.P.

The two officers are scheduled to take their respective office charges soon.
