The Andhra Pradesh (A.P.,) Government, on the 17th of April, tried the rapid test kits for detecting on Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of A.P.
The rapid test kits were imported in a bulk of 1 lakh from South Korea as a preventive measure to check the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 patients rapidly.
After the launch of the kits for, the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) used these on the Chief Minister of the State.
The blood samples of Jagan Mohan Reddy was taken and tests were done, which resulted negative and showed the results in 10 minutes.
Alla Nani, the Deputy Chief Minister of Health Department, Nilam Sawhney, the Chief Secretary of A.P., and K.S. Jawahar Reddy, the Special Chief Secretary of the Medical, Health, Family and Welfare Department were present while doctors were conducting the tests.
The need to order the huge bulk of the rapid test kits is because these kits could detect the coronavirus result in just 10 minutes. The rapid kits would also confirm whether the victim was affected with coronavirus in the past or not.
All the rapid testing kits would be sent to all the districts of Andhra Pradesh within 4 to 5 days from the 17th of April.
Meanwhile, Andhra Pradesh has reported as many as 38 new cases of the Novel Coronavirus infection, taking the total number to 572.
