The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a forest rain alert in the Telugu states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

According to the weather department in Hyderabad and Amaravati, there is a possibility of rain in both the Telugu states from the night of the 28th of October, Friday.  The rain would be due to a possibility of low pressure over Tamil Nadu between Sri Lanka.  Furthermore, there are also indications that this low pressure would turn into a trough and then turn into a severe trough, causing rainfall in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, especially in the forest areas. 

Moreover, low pressure is likely to be formed in the Bay of Bengal with the southwest monsoon season causing rains in southern India, from the 29th of October.
