Mr. K.S. Jawahar Reddy, the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer took over as the Special Chief Secretary to the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, on the 28th of February, Monday.

According to sources, Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh (A.P.,) appointed IAS Officer K.S. Jawahar Reddy.  Previously, the IAS Officer was serving as the Executive Officer (EO) at the Tirumala Tirupati Temple (TTD).  Speaking about IAS K.S. Jawahar Reddy, he joined his duties as the Chief Secretary to Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy and would also continue his duties as the TTD EO.

The Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) Government appointed K.S. Jawahar Reddy and eight other IAS officers while reshuffling of their duties, last week.  The other officers like Mr. K.V. Rajendranath Reddy has been appointed as the State’s new Director General of Police with additional charge as DGP of Anti Corruption Bureau, Mr. P.S.R. Anjaneyulu who has been ACB DGP is appointed as the new DGP of Intelligence.

The reshuffling of the IAS and the Indian Public Service (IPS) officers are expected to continue till the 2nd of April, in the view of new district formation.

It is to be noted, the Andhra Pradesh Government approved formation of new 13 districts in the State, besides the existing 13 districts, taking the total to 26.
