Visakhapatnam: YSRCP Regional Coordinator and Rajya Sabha candidate YV Subba Reddy made sensational comments on the capital. YV Subba Reddy opined that Hyderabad should continue as the capital of Andhra Pradesh until legal hurdles for shifting executive capital to Vizag gets resolved.

Addressing the media here on Tuesday Subba Reddy said that the union government notified Hyderabad as the combined capital of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana for ten years.

The then Telugu Desam government had constructed a temporary capital and failed to build permanent structures. Our government decided to set up executive capital at Vizag since it needs less financial resources YV Subba Reddy said.

He alleged that a few people created legal hurdles for capital shifting to Vizag and it needs some time. Subba Reddy said that they will discuss it with party chief and chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and take appropriate decisions.

He said that the government is in plans to request the center to give a notification continuing Hyderabad as a combined capital for a few more years.
