Gudur: MLA Varaprasad’s comments targeting CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy sparked a major controversy at Guduru. Varaprasad in a recent interview with a social media channel stated that people with a dictatorial mind set are trying to prevent him from contesting elections. He said that the party is playing with his political journey in the name of surveys. Varaprasad clearly stated that he wants to be independent.

“Party stepped me down from Tirupati MP to Gudur MLA. They hurted me many times. High command insisted that I scold the opposition parties for no reason. Since i have denied their request they are not rejecting the ticket to me stating filthy reasons,” Varaprasad said.

He added that chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy recently met him and said that the survey reports are adverse and he cannot give ticket. “ He said that I will be in his heart. I want to be in the hearts of people, but not in the hearts of any leaders,” Varaprasad said.
