Mr. G. Kishan Reddy, the Union Minister for Tourism and State Home Minister of Telangana, inaugurated the Mahabubnagar-Visakhapatnam Express.

The inauguration connecting the two regions took place at Mahabubnagar Railway Station on Saturday, the 20th of May.  The extension of the Visakhapatnam Express from Kacheguda (train number 12861/12862) to Mahabubnagar was approved by the South Central Railway (SCR) officials recently, confirmed sources.   Furhermore, the extension was implemented to address the lack of direct connectivity between Mahabubnagar region of Telangana and the coastal areas of Andhra Pradesh region, connecting two Telugu states.

In addition, the new extended train service would now provide a convenient and direct transportation option for people traveling from Mahabubnagar to major cities in Andhra Pradesh, including Rayanapadu (Vijayawada), Eluru, Rajahmundry, and Annavaram.

Meanwhile, after inauguration, Mr. G. Kishan Reddy took to Twitter and shared the same.  He said that the Mahabubnagar Visakha Express will be launched and the people of Mahabubnagar, Jadcharla, Shadnagar and Wajanagar would get benefit.

The new schedule for this train would come into effect from the 20th of May.  As per the schedule, the train leaves Visakhapatnam at 6:40 P.M., and reaches Kachiguda at 6:45 A.M., the next day, Vajanagar at 7:19 A.M., Shadnagar at 7:44 A.M,, Jadcharla at 8:15 A.M., and Mahbubnagar at 9:20 A.M.
