Visakhapatnam: Jai Bharat National Party President and ex-CBI JD VV Lakshminarayana has stirred controversy by alleging a plot to assassinate him in Visakhapatnam. Lakshminarayana lodged a formal complaint with authorities in Visakhapatnam on Friday, expressing grave concerns over his safety and requesting immediate protection.

The former CBI official, known for his anti-corruption crusades, founded the Jai Bharat National Party and is contesting as an MLA candidate for the Visakhapatnam Constituency. The Election Commission has allotted the torchlight symbol, commonly used for both Parliament and Assembly constituencies, to his party.
