The Novel Coronavirus result for Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain has come and he tested negative for the infection.

The news of his negative test has been confirmed by the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) on the 16th of June. 

Mr. Jain was admitted to the Delhi  run Rajiv Gandhi Super Specialty Hospital (RGSSH) in the national capital.  On the night of the 15th of June, after he developed a fever and his oxygen level dropped.

Mr. Jain took to Twitter and said, “Due to high-grade fever and a sudden drop of my oxygen levels last night I have been admitted to RGSSH. Will keep everyone updated.”

However, he is not positive of Novel Coronavirus and is undergoing treatment for his health conditions. 

On the 15th of June, Union Home Minister Amit Shah visited a State run COVID-19 treatment hospital in Delhi after the all party meeting. 

A day before the visit, Amit Shah and Union Health Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan met Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. The meeting was held to discuss the precautions taken to curb the Novel Coronavirus.

Delhi’s Deputy Chief Minster Manish Sisodia and Satyendar Jain, among other senior ministers and officials, were also present at the meeting.

Meanwhile, Delhi is witnessing the highest one day spike for the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19.  Till the 16th of June, Delhi is the third highest number of infections in India with a total of 42,829 COVID-19 cases and 1,400 fatalities.
