Political parties, the Communist Party of India (CPI) and the Communist Party (Marxist) (CPM) jointly started Prachara Bheri, a campaign against the Central Government’s policies.

The campaign started in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh with the participation of CPI and CPM leaders like Mr. Binoy Viswam, Mr. Prakash Karat, Mr. V. Srinivasa Rao, Mr. K. Ramakrishna and other leaders.

Speaking on the occasion, the leaders of the two parties stressed on the need for a united struggle by all secular and democratic parties, frontal organizations to defeat the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP.)  Blaming the BJP, the two political parties said, PM Narendra Modi led Government is destroying the secular fabric of the country by implementing Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) policies. 

Mr. Prakash Karat, a leader of the CPM said that there was an all out attack on democracy and Opposition in the country.   He added, there was a serious assault on the democratic rights of the people. 

Mr. Binoy Viswam said, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is silent on the Adani scam, and the Central government is not allowing any discussion on the scam in Parliament.   He also added that the PM Narendra Modi led Government is opening doors for the Foreign investments and looting the people of India and using resources of India for benefits of big companies, under the name of Atmanirbhar Bharat.
