Andhra Pradesh (A.P.,) recorded 80 fresh cases of the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 taking a total tally to 1,177 till the 27th of April .

The State Medical department confirmed the new cases on the 27th of April.  Out of 80 new cases, one is from Krishna district,  23 from Guntur district, 13 from Kurnool, 7 from Nellore district, 3 from West Godavari and 1 in Srikakulam. 

The Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) Government took necessary precautions to contain the spread of the Novel Coronavirus.   The measures include strict implementation of lockdown, doorstep delivery of essential commodities in red zone areas and strict supervision of A.P., police in all areas of the State.

Despite these measures, the State is witnessing a rapid increase in the COVID-19 infection cases.

Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of A.P., is monitoring all the districts and red zones closely.  The State Government also formed a team of ministers and senior leaders to tackle the pandemic situation in the State.

The District collectors are given responsibilities to take needed measures and control the situation.   

The State has 911 positive cases of the Novel Coronavirus, 235 cases were recovered/discharged and 31 deceased.
