Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, on the 11th of May, Thursday, unveiled an eighty-feet statue of his late father Dr. Y.S. Rajashekara.

On Wednesday, the Andhra Pradesh CM visited Visakhapatnam to attend a series of programmes and launch development projects in the city.   Notably, Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy unveiled a statue of Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, the former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh.  He also launched a photo exhibition and felicitated women cricketers at the ADA-VCDA International Cricket Stadium at Madhurawada, Visakhapatnam.

Accompanied by ministers Gudivada Amarnath, Vidadala Rajini, R.K. Roja, among others, the Chief Minister felicitated women cricketers K.Anjali Sarvani and Shabnam, interacted with their parents and handed over medals and a cash prize of Rs.10 lakh each. After unveiling the statue at the stadium, the Chief Minister will proceed to Apollo Hospitals in Arilova to inaugurate a cancer block at the premises.

In the last event for the day, Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy would inaugurate the most awaited Sea Harrier Warplane Museum.  Developed by the Visakhapatnam Metropolitan Region Development Authority (VMRDA,) the museum which is going to be the pride of Visakhapatnam has been constructed for Rs. 10 crores.

Besides the museum, Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy would also inaugurate the VMRDA Shopping Complex, lay foundation stone for Kapu Building in Yendada and the Fish Landing Center in Bhimili.  Notably, the developments in Visakhapatnam came after the recent announcement

At 6:15 P.M., Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy would reach AU Convention Hall on Beach Road and participate in the wedding reception of Mr. Golla Baburao’s son.

Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy is scheduled to return to Tadepalli at night of the 11th of May, Thursday.
