Mr. Nara Chandrababu Naidu, the National President of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) staged a sit in protest in the Gudipally region.

The protest came after the Chittoor district police stopped Mr. Chandrababu Naidu from entering the region.  Due to the protest by the TDP National President and cadres, tensions continued in the Gudipally region of Kuppam.

In addition, Mr. Nara Chandrababu Naidu demanded to hand over the campaign chariot and argued with the police, criticising them for stopping him.  He said, the State Police is working as the slave of the ruling Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) and stopping him from performing his duties and conducting party meetings.

To control the situation, the Andhra Pradesh police deployed a police force in the Gudipally area.
