The Central Government decided to release new Rs. 100 coin with the photo of the Late Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao, the former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) led Central Government took the decision to honour the former Andhra Pradesh CM and the founder of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP.)  The Central Government decided to honour Mr. N.T. Rama Rao for his services rendered to the people of the non bifurcated Andhra Pradesh.

In this regard, the Central Government officials met Ms. Daggubati Purandheswari, the daughter of the Late NTR.  During the meeting, the officials presented a sample coin of Rs. 100 with the picture of NTR and asked for the opinion of Ms. Daggubati Purandheswari.

The coins would be made in silver, with the support of the Reserve Bank of India and is expected to be released soon.
