AV Dharma Reddy Takes Over As SVBC Managing Director

A.V. Dharma Reddy, the former Additional Executive Officer of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD,) is the new Managing Director (MD) of the Sri Venkateswara Bhakthi Channel (SVBC.)

Mr. Reddy took over as the MD of SVBC, a devotional channel of the TTD, on the morning of the 5th of February.

Anil Kumar Singhal, the Executive Officer of the TTD, after the approval of the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) Government, issued a notification regarding the same.

It is to be noted the appointment of Mr. Reddy came after the former MD of SVBC, Prudhvi Raj, was forced to quit.   

On the 12th of January, actor turned politician Prudhvi Raj resigned from his position after a woman employee of SVBC accused him of sexual harassment.  Prudhvi Raj had to quit from his position after an audio clip involving him and the employee went viral on social media platforms.  It is said the woman employee recorded a conversation of theirs, in which the man (alleged to be Prudhvi Raj) passed romantic comments.  The woman is said to have leaked the audio clip online.

After the incident, instead of nominating another individual, the YSRCP Government decided to appoint a senior member of the TTD as the MD of SVBC.

A.V. Dharma Reddy took over on the afternoon of the 5th of February in the presence of TTD officials and members.
