The Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) is all set to operate additional buses during Sankranti.

According to sources, the APSRTC would run a total of 3,607 buses to avoid rush during Sankranti festival.

The special buses would operated from the 8th of January to the 13th of January from neighbouring states like Telangana, Karnataka and Chennai to Hyderabad.

Of the total 3,607 buses, 433 will be operated from Bengaluru, 133 from Chennai, 201 from various districts in Andhra Pradesh to Vijayawada and 551 to Visakhapatnam. And other 1,038 buses would be run between the districts.

The APSRTC Officials said that the special buses are arranged in the return journey not to cause inconvenience to the passengers.

They also hoped the passengers travel safe and secure on the RTC buses to reach their homes and celebrate the festival.

This is not the first time, the APSRTC arranged special bus services for people in Andhra Pradesh. During Dussehra and Diwali also the APSRTC authority arranged the special State run buses.
