After the approval of the Andhra Pradesh Finance Department, employees of the Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) would get salaries as per the new pay scale.
The decision came after a meeting held by the APSRTC officials with the Finance Department, on the 23rd of August. According to sources, the APSRTC has a total of 51,500 employees and about 2,000 of them have been promoted recently in August.
With this, all the employees would be receiving salaries as per new scale, from the 1st of September. However, the recently promoted employees would not receive the hiked salary as per the new scale. The promoted employees would get a revised salary after approval of promotion by the Andhra Pradesh Government led by Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy.
Notably, a file of all the promoted employees has been sent to Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, for approval. However, if approved in the next one week, the promoted employees would also get new pay scale salaries from the 1st of September, otherwise their revised salaries would be credited from the 1st of October.
Furthermore, the revised pay scale salary came as a relief to the APSRTC workers, who were waiting for their hiked salaries.
