The Andhra Pradesh (A.P.,) Government, on the 19th of May, decided to resume State run bus services from the 21st of May.

The Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) would start services from Thursday with 50% staff.  However, the bus drivers, conductors and passengers would maintain social distancing and sanitisation would be done before the start of the journey.

Speaking about the tickets, passengers are asked to buy tickets online.  In addition, private buses would also resume services from the 21st of May.

Only 20 passengers are allowed to board the buses, maintaining social distancing norms due to the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19.

Wearing face masks is compulsory for everyone in the buses.  The details of the bus routes are yet to be announced.

Meanwhile, Andhra Pradesh reported a total of 2,489 cases of the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 cases with 816 active cases, 1,621 recovered cases and 52 deceased till date.
