The Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) announced a festive bonanza for commuters. The special officers in ticket prices have been announced in view of Makar Sankranti celebrated on the 14th of January, 2023.
As per the official notification, there would be a 10% reduction in tickets for both AC and Non AC buses, running in Andhra Pradesh.
The tickets, whether for AC or non-AC buses, will have to be booked in advance to avail the concession. Travellers can also book their tickets in advance for Sankranti through the corporation’s website apsrtconline.in.
The APSRTC said it would start operating the special buses from the 7th of January and would continue these services till the 20th of January. The duration of the special buses have been considered in view of the rush, expected during the festival of Makar Sankranti, when commuters would be travelling to their native villages in Andhra Pradesh.
The APSRTC also said that they would not be charging 50% extra on fare, like they did last year, which upset the commuters in Andhra Pradesh.
It is to be noted, the special 10% off offers are implemented only on the tickets booked in advance for the 7th to the 20th of January.
