Perni Venkataramaiah, the Transport Minister of Andhra Pradesh (AP,) on the 28th of November, criticised at Chandrababu Naidu, the President of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP.)

Mr. Venkataramaiah lashed out at Chandrababu Naidu for visiting Amaravati and said, “Does Chandrababu have the moral right to visit Amravati?”

Raising questions about Chandrababu Naidu’s visit, Perni Venkataramaiah asked why Naidu is going to Amaravati when he did not fulfil the promises made during the reign of the TDP Government.

Venkataramaiah asked Naidu why his Government did not give back the farmers’ lands which were acquired in the name of developing the Capital of Andhra Pradesh (AP.)

Highlighting the condition of the Amaravati Secretariat, Mr. Perni said the Government Secretariat is like the Narayana College Hostel building.  He said, “How Chandrababu, who tortured the people in the name of capital, would come and visit Amaravati (sic.)”

On the 28th of November, Chandrababu Naidu was on a one day visit to Amaravati to inspect the construction and development works in the City.

However, his Amaravati visit drew criticism on the grounds that the promises made by Naidu and his TDP regarding the development of the State Capital were unfulfilled.

The farmers and Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) leaders and activists protested upon the arrival of Naidu and even threw stones and slippers at his convoy.

However, the Amaravati Police deployed police personnel to control the situation.
