The Andhra Pradesh Traffic Police imposed traffic restrictions in the Srisailam district of Andhra Pradesh.

The restrictions were imposed on the 26th of December, Monday, in the view of visit of Ms. Draupadi Murmu, the President of India.  According to sources, Ms. Draupadi Murmu is scheduled to visit the Srisailam district for a tour and visit Lord Mallikarjuna Swamy and Goddess Bramarambhika temples in Srisailam.

It is to be noted, Ms. Drapadi Murmu is on a 5 day winter vacation to Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.  She would arrive at Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) from there would be flying to Srisailam in a special chopper. 

Ms. Draupadi Murmu is scheduled to arrive at the Srisailam district in the afternoon.  During the visit, Ms. Draupadi Murmu would visit the Srisailam Temple in the Nandyal region of the district.  Furthermore, the President of India is also scheduled to inaugurate several development projects.

In regard to Ms. Draupadi Murmu’s visit, the Andhra Pradesh Government led by the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) made all the necessary arrangements.  In addition, the Traffic Police also imposed all the necessary restrictions amid the visit in Srisailam.

Getting into the details about the traffic restrictions,the traffic between Andhra Pradesh and Telangana border has been stopped, vehicles coming from the Hyderabad side at the Lingalagattu check post and the vehicles coming from the Dornala side to Srisailam at the Shikharam Forest check post has been restricted.  In addition, barricades at the main intersections within the temple area have been arranged.  In addition, the darshans at Srisailam, Sri Bhramaramba Mallikarjuna temple were stopped and will be resumed after President’s visit from 3:00 P.M.
