Nara Chandrababu Naidu, the President of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP,) on the 20th of August, visited the flood affected areas in Krishna district, Andhra Pradesh (AP.)

On the 17th of August, heavy floods hit houses in the Krishna and Guntur districts.  Approximately 24 villages were affected due by the floods and 11,553 people were moved to 56 relief camps.

During his visit, Naidu interacted with the residents of the area, who are taking shelter at the flood relief camps.  He also enquired about the operation undergoing to control the flood situation and the camps set up for the people.

Chandrababu Naidu also spoke about the drone incident and said the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) did not regulate the floods properly intentionally, to submerge his residence.

Naidu further blamed the Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy led YSRCP for damage to thousands of houses as the Party did not take necessary measures to avoid floodwater.

Naidu also highlighted the decision of the YSRCP Government to close Anna canteens and said the Government took a wrong decision, as now, in this situation, the canteens could provide food to thousands of affected people.

The situation in the Krishna district is said to be under control.  The authorities also organised relief camps and vacated several houses to avoid casualties.
