Andhra Pradesh has reported the highest, over 10,000 new cases of the Wuhan virus (COVID-19,) taking the total active cases to 44,935

On the 19th of January, Wednesday, the Telugu State reported 10,057 new cases, 8 deaths and 1,222 recoveries. The cases were confirmed through a health bulletin released on Wednesday evening.

According to the media bulletin, the cases were confirmed after conducting 41,713 sample tests for COVID-19. With this, the State conducted a total of 3,19,64,684 tests till date.

In addition, of the total 10,057 new cases, the highest were from Visakhapatnam (1,827,) followed by Chittoor (1,822) Guntur (943) and East Godavari (919.)  The lowest cases have been reported from West Godavari (216.)

With this, Andhra Pradesh has 21,24,546 positive cases, of which 20,65,089 are recovered cases, 44,935 are active cases and 14,522 are deceased cases.
