AP Reports Huge Spike In COVID-19 Cases With Over 6K Cases

Andhra Pradesh has reported tweet 6,996 new cases of the Wuhan virus (COVID-19,) taking the total active cases to 36,108.

On the 18th of January, Tuesday, the Telugu State reported 6,996 new cases, 4 deaths and 1,066 recoveries.  The cases were confirmed through a health bulletin released on Tuesday evening.

According to the media bulletin, the cases were confirmed after conducting 38,055 sample tests for COVID-19.  With this, the State conducted a total of 3,19,22, 969 tests till date.

In addition, of the total 6,996 new cases, the highest were from Chittoor (1,534) followed by Visakhapatnam (1,263.)

The lowest cases were reported from Kadapa (202.)

With this, Andhra Pradesh has 21,14,489 positive cases, of which 20,63,867 are recovered cases, 36,108 are active cases and 14,514 are deceased cases.
