AP Reports 5,983 New Wuhan Virus Cases With 11,280 Recoveries In 24 Hours

Andhra Pradesh reported over 5,983 new cases of the Wuhan virus, also known as the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19.)

On the evening of the 2nd of February, Wednesday, the State Health Department confirmed 5,983 fresh Wuhan virus cases, taking the overall tally to 22,88,566 In addition to the new cases, the Telugu State reported 11 fatalities and 11,280 recovered/discharged cases.  With this, Andhra Pradesh has 21,73,313 recovered/discharged cases, 14,631 deceased cases and 1,00,622 active cases. 

As per district-wise data, East Godavari, Guntur, and Krishna reported the highest, with 741, 738, and 618 new cases, respectively in the past 24 hours. 

The aforementioned cases were confirmed after conducting 35,040 Wuhan virus tests, taking the tally to 3.25 crore (3,25, 40,787) in Andhra Pradesh.

Meanwhile, amid the rising number of the Wuhan virus cases, the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) Government imposed a night curfew in the State until mid-February.
