AP Reports 52 Cases Of Novel Coronaviru, Tally At 2,407

On the 18th of May, Andhra Pradesh reported 52 fresh cases of the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19.

The cases were confirmed by the Andhra Pradesh (A.P.,) Health Department on the morning of the 18th of May.

With these updates, the State has a total of 2,407 cases of the Novel Coronavirus with 50 deaths till the 18th of May.

In the last 24 hours, the State conducted  9,713 sample tests for the infection, out of which only 52 samples were tested positive.  Though the State reported new cases, the recovery rate in the State is said to be more than the active cases.  Andhra Pradesh has 1,456 recovered cases and  951 active cases of the Novel Coronavirus infection.

Out of the 52 new cases, Chittoor and Krishna districts have reported the highest number of cases with 15 cases each respectively.  The remaining 22 cases were reported from Nellore (7,) East Godavari (5,) Kurnool (4,) Kadapa (2,) West Godavari (2,) Visakhapatnam (1) and Vizianagaram (1.)
