The Andhra Pradesh Police arrested four workers of the Indian National Congress (INC,) for releasing black balloons near the Vijayawada International Airport.

The black balloons were in view of the arrival of Mr. Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister of India, on the 4th of July, Monday.  The balloons were released after PM Narendra Modi’s flight took off, in the evening of Monday.

It is known that the released black balloons passed a nearby chopper, which carried PM Narendra Modi and Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy.  The SPG took the incident very seriously and asked the state government to submit a detailed report regarding the incident.

Furthermore, the SPG asked what if the drones were flown in the place of balloons and considered it as a security breach. 

However, the police said that the balloons were released five minutes after PM’s chopper left and four km away from the airport.  Furthermore, they also assured that they have arrested the accused behind the incident, and took the necessary steps.
