Mr. Botsa Satyanarayana, the Union Development and Urban Minister of Andhra Pradesh, clarified the Government’s stand in the ongoing Pay Revision Commission (PRC) issue of employees.

During a press meeting on the 4th of February, Friday, Mr. Botsa Satyanarayana said, on Saturday, the 5th of February, Saturday, the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) Government would take the final decision regarding the PRC issue, resolving employees’ matter.  He further said, the meeting between employees Union and the Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy Government was fruitful, as both the Union and the Government agreed on certain points.

On Saturday, another round of meetings is expected to be held, following which the Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy Government would decide on the matter.

Mr. Satyanarayan said that he would take a positive decision on the issues of the employees and strive for resolving their issues.

There is a war going on between Andhra Pradesh employees and the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) Government, over the new PRC rules. The employees are against the recent Government Order (GO) issued over the PRC.  The PRC Sadana committee of employees, teachers, workers, and pensioners passed a unanimous resolution for the strike.  Notably, similar to the Telangana employees, the Andhra Pradesh Government employees are also demanding over 28% fitment.  However, the Chief Secretary (CS) headed the committee, refused the demand, and provided only 14.7% fitment to the employees, citing the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic

Meanwhile, the PRC Sadhana Samithi will start a protest and call for a strike on the 7th of February
