The Andhra Pradesh (A.P.,) High Court (HC) heard a petition filed to ban Big Boss Telugu reality show.

On the 30th of September, the A.P., HC bench reviewed the petition filed by lawyer Siva Prasad Reddy, who argued that there is a lot of obscenity in Bigg Boss.  In his petition, Siva said that TV shows are not following Indian Broadcasting Foundation (IBF) guidelines and is not good for the audience.

Upon hearing the arguments of Siva Prasad Reddy, the Andhra Pradesh High Court bench questioned what kind of films were produced in the 1970s and what type of films are being produced now.  It also said that they would decide on the notices to the defendants in the next hearings and adjourned the matter to the 11th of October.

Besides the lawyer filing a petition, many Telugu audiences expressed disappointment over the recently started new season of the reality show Bigg Boss Telugu.

Not only the audience, but political leaders like Mr. Raja Singh and Mr. Narayana also fired on Bigg Boss makers, questioning, if could it be watched with family.

Meanwhile, the counsel representing the Bigg Boss makers and Broadcast Ministry of State has been asked for file a counter reply in this regard, before the next hearing.
