The Andhra Pradesh High Court on the 23rd of March, issued notices to two Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) Ministers.

The notices were served after the State Election Commissioner N. Ramesh Kumar filed a petition against Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy and Botsa Satyanarayana. Mr. Ramesh Kumar alleged the two YSRCP ministers of leaking a confidential letter addressed to the Governor of Andhra Pradesh (A.P.) Biswabhusan Harichandan.

Recently, N. Ramesh Kumar wrote to the A.P., Governor which also included his holiday approval. The letter also highlighted about keeping the two ministers under house arrest. Acting upon the same, Mr. Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy and Mr. Botsa Satyanarayana lodged a complaint with the Assembly Privilege Committee. Following which the committee issued a notice to N. Ramesh Kumar. Soon after this, Mr. Kumar moved the A.P. HC.

Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar sought directives from the High Court for the Central Bureau Investigation (CBI) probe in this case. He also requested the Court to make the Governor’s Secretary, Government’s Chief Secretary Minister Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy and Botsa Satyanarayana as defendants in this case.

The High Court adjourned the hearing to the 30th of March.
