The Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) led Andhra Pradesh Government decided to develop micro, small enterprise (MSE) clusters in order to promote micro and small scale industries in the State.

The development is said to take place under the Micro, Small Enterprise Cluster Development Program (MSE-CDP.)  According to sources, 7 new factory clusters along with 13 clusters is said to be constructed in the Telugu State. 

The Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (APIIC) officials said that the project of the 13 MSE clusters would be constructed at a cost of Rs. 123.07 crores.  In regard to this, the APIIC has prepared a report and submitted to the Central Government for approval.  Proposals for the clusters, which would be developed on 2,111.59 acres, have been sent to the MSME DC office in New Delhi. 

Furthermore, for the MSE CDP project, the Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy Government would spend an amount of Rs. 33.66 crore under its share, while the Center would provide Rs. 89.41 crore in the form of grants. 

Hindupuram Growth Center, Guntur Autonagar, Machilipatnam Jewellery Park, Kurnool Industrial Park, Kadapa, Nadukudi Industrial Parks, Kannur, Ongole Autonagar, Nellimarla, Tanuku, Gajulamandyam, Rayachoti and Tirupati Industrial Parks would be covered by these MSE projects.

Meanwhile, for the 7 proposed factories, immigration projects have been completed at a cost of Rs. 11 crores in Kannur.  Work for the other 6 projects is being developed at a cost of Rs. 74.72 crore.  The units will set up seven flat factories across 29.14 acres at a cost of Rs. 88.62 crore so that production can start immediately.  Of the mentioned amount, Rs. 17.97 crore will be provided by the State Government and the rest by the Center in the form of grants. 

The location of the factory unit is said to be Atmakuru, Mallavalli and Palamaneru industrial parks along with Tirupati-1, Tirupati-2, Kopparthi electronic and manufacturing clusters in the Achuthapuram area.  

The work would begin after the approval of the Bharatiya Janata Party led Central Government.
