Came as a major boost to the students planning to pursue post graduation in medicine, the Andhra Pradesh Government announced to increase the medical PG seats.

On the 29th of October, Saturday, the Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy led Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) announced to increase in medical seats by 746 more in the present academic year. 

It is to be noted, with the additional seats, as of now there are 1,923 seats in medical education from 970 in 2019, under the leadership of the Telugu Desam Party.  Due to the sustained efforts of the YSRCP Government, a total number of 953 medical PG seats were created in the last 3.3 years, increasing the chances of students pursuing medicine in Andhra Pradesh.

Furthermore, the State Education Department also said after the completion of 17 medical colleges in Andhra Pradesh, they would increase the medical seats by additional 3,000 PG seats.
