AP Govt Conducts YSR Lifetime Awards 2022, CM YS Jagan To Present Awards

On the 1st of November, the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) presented its prestigious ‘YSR Lifetime Achievement 2022’.  

This is the second year in a row that the Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy led Government presented the YSR Achievements Awards and celebrate the formation of the Telugu State of Andhra Pradesh.

Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh and Mr.  Biswabhushan Harichandan, the Governor of A.P., presented the awards to all the awardees. 

The YSR Life Time Achievement and YSR Achievement Award event was held at the A-Convention Centre in Vijayawada, A.P.   Besides Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy and Mr. Biswabhushan Harichandan, Ms. Y.S. Vijayamma, the mother of Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy also attended the event as a guest of honour.

On the occasion, Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh said, they are giving awards in the state like nowhere else in the country to honour the people for their excellence in various categories.  He said, “We are giving awards to those who stood as bridges of culture and tradition.  30 awards will be presented to 35 individuals and organizations who have made outstanding contributions in the fields of agriculture, arts-culture, literature, women and child empowerment, education, journalism, medicine and industry.”

According to sources, of the total 30 awards, there would be 20 YSR Lifetime Achievement Awards and 10 YSR Achievement Awards.  According to sources, the YSR Awards presented today, the 1st of November include  Rs. 10 lakh cash prize, a bronze statue, and a certificate for the Lifetime Achievement Award while the recipients of the Achievement Award were given a bronze statue along with Rs. 5 lakh cash prize and a certificate.  

The awardees were decided by the State High Power Screening Committee formed by the Andhra Pradesh Government.

The event was attended by several YSRCP leaders and prominent people in art, culture, social services and medical fields.
